About The Event
In European magical lore, many trees are considered to have special powers; some are even imbued with spirits and have particular personalities. In old Northern cosmology, moreover, the whole world is framed as a tree. Hannah Sanders relates a selection of useful lore, including methods to tap into the Cosmic Tree to energise and enrich magical practice. This is also a practical workshop, and Hannah will be leading the class in making a wand and a talisman, and showing how they can be used.
To join in, bring: a branch the length of your forearm (middle finger to crook of arm). some local tree leaves, thread, a fine black marker pen, and some  nature finds ( shells, feathers, flowers...)
Hannah Sanders is an award-winning folk singer and guitarist, who in her private life has spent almost three decades working in initiatory witchcraft traditions. A former academic with an Anthropology PhD, she has published on teen culture, feminism and magic. Her books include Children of the Green: Raising our Kids in Pagan Traditions.Â
