About The Event
Ever since Christianity became dominant in Europe, people have been trying to revive ancient pagan forms of religion.
In this lecture and soirée at Treadwell's, Robin Douglas gives an illustrated talk on Europe's pagan revivals, from Byzantine Greece to Renaissance Florence and from revolutionary Paris to Victorian London. These revivals reveal diverse interpretations of paganism: philosophical, political, artistic and magical. A drinks party on the shopfloor follows the talk, with complimentary wine and soft drinks.
*This event is free for Friends and Treadwelves.
