About The Event

This evening introduces a paradigm shift, diving into Queer Feminist Chaos Magick practice. It's for those exhausted by  stereotypes of male-ego-driven models, hierarchies, and how to 'do magick correctly'.  It's for those who have noticed with discomfort how closely results-driven magick mirrors the tired capitalist compulsions which oppress so many of us. In this workshop, Patricia MacCormack  takes Chaos Magick in a radical direction, showing how chaos magick can challenge self, world and world-view.  A menu is offered: initial simple rituals and  feminist readings of chaos texts. All are invited as she introduces ideas to work with: ecofeminism, liquid sexualities, 'cunt chaos' and learning why chaos magick is inherently queer. Attendees will come away with practical ways to start rituals from a feminist queer perspective.

Patricia MacCormack is Professor of Continental Philosophy at ARU, Cambridge. She has been an occult practitioner for 30 years and currently combines academia and practical occultism internationally. She is the author of many articles and 7 books, the most recent of which is The Ahuman Manifesto (Bloomsbury 2020)
