About The Event
Phil Hine discusses Queerness in British occulture with Christina Oakley Harrington, in a famous Treadwell's Sofa Chat, to launch his new book. Hine, active in the British occultism starting in the early 1980s, has for the whole time been writing regularly on occult practice as related to queerness. Many know his evolving perspectives and reflections from his contributions to zines, journals, blogs, books and online forums; now, at last, he has assembled a selection of these pieces, dating from over four decades, in Queerying Occulture. All are invited to come to Treadwell's for the talk/interview which is followed by an audience Q&A and a drinks party, at which Phil will be signing copies and mingling with attendees. NOTE  date is Thursday, 6th July (originally scheduled for 7 July)
