About The Event
We invite you into an immersive evening of writing poetry and finding moments of connection, for both experienced poets and newer writers. Led by Treadwell's poet-in-residence Alice O'Malley Woods, this workshop is dedicated to rewilding the imagination through reconnecting the self to the natural world (the 'more than human). Numbers limited to 14.
Please bring: an item of personal meaning, such as a rock, leaf, ornament, etc (but NOT a photo please).
Alice O'Malley-Woods is part of the Techne consortium, a doctoral researcher in Humanities at the University of Brighton, and poet-in-residence here at Treadwell's. A warm and gifted guide, Alice is currently working on a poetic memoir exploring ecogrief and trauma. She will be sharing practices that have given rise to this work during the workshop.
