If you’re fascinated by the mysterious images and symbols of the tarot cards, but don’t know where to start, this afternoon workshop is for you. It starts with a look at the structure of the full tarot deck, and then concentrates on the iconic cards of the major arcana – the 21 archetypal characters. You will learn the principles of card reading, with exercises for everyone to try, using the Rider Smith Waite Tarot. The full afternoon is packed with activities, providing a structured, fun interactive environment. You will go home with a solid basis for understanding this beautiful and intriguing divination system — and you’ll be able to do three-card readings for yourself.

Sue Terry is a former Treadwell’s in-house tarot reader, who brings years of experience to her teaching. She’s admired not only for her expertise and accuracy as a tarot reader but is much-loved on account of her personal warmth and inclusive personality; her courses sell out quickly.

This workshop can be taken on its own, or before (or after) our Absolute Beginners workshop on the minor arcana. Please bring your own Rider Waite Smith deck (or buy one on the day) — all other supplies and refreshments included.
