About The Event
You are invited to a Norse-inspired Heathen ritual, celebrating the month of May with joy, abundance, desire and beauty. Before the ceremony, to set the scene, there will be a talk on the ritual structure, Norse worldviews, and the myths and meanings of the deities relevant for this blot, Frey and Freya. The second part of the afternoon will be the rite itself: in a space created in accordance with Norse cosmology, gods and goddesses will be called, with their blessings, gifts, and lessons remembered and celebrated.
This is a welcoming, diversity-positive event, led by an experienced and friendly facilitator. Andre Henriques has been active in Heathen and Pagan communities for several years, and has led many ceremonies, lectures and workshops on the subject of the Northern traditions of Europe.
People of all genders, ethnicities and backgrounds are warmly welcome to this inclusive workshop. No previous experience required. Drink and light food are included.
Andre Henriques is a longstanding and well-loved member of the pagan community, with over 20 years’ experience on the Heathen path. He has been active in the Heathen community in the UK for over 10 years, having led many ceremonies, lectures and workshops on the subject of the Northern traditions of Europe.
