About The Event
Clothing has always been important in the construction of the witch’s identity and the magician’s prowess.
In this online workshop, Hannah Sanders teaches students how to enchant items of clothing for specific magical goals. Hannah begins by outlining some history of the magician’s apparel and exploring folklore around the charming of clothing. The group examines the significance of colour and texture, learning about everything from white robes and black cloaks to hats, shoes, belts and crowns. Students also explore the symbolism and special magical uses of personal adornment, jewellery and needlework.
By the end of the workshop, students will understand more about how clothing and adornment have been woven through magical history. They will also understand how to enchant items in their own wardrobe for protection, healing, love, glamour and mystery.
Please bring: needle and red thread.
