About The Event
Solitary witchcraft and Initiatory Wicca are often treated as if they are mutually exclusive paths but initiated witches almost always have an active personal practice as well. In this talk, Rebecca Beattie looks look at the two paths - where they intersect and cross over, and where they diverge. Coming from a British perspective, and grounded in the UK's esoteric community, she addresses self-dedication, initiation, the relationship with the gods, and the positives and pitfalls of both paths. Â The talk is followed by Q&A so everyone attending can participate and ask questions.Â
Rebecca brings two decades of experience; she is acclaimed for her highly-informed teaching of witchcraft subjects, with classes characterised by her warm, inclusive style. Rebecca has been practising solitary witchcraft for twenty years, and has been active as an initiate of the Gardnerian tradition for fifteen. By day she is a senior professional in a major charity, and is also a published author with advanced degrees in Literature and Creative writing. Her website.Â
