About The Event

In this class Hannah Sanders explores the dwelling places made from human hands that have become synonymous with magical potency; the close of the year highlights their importance to our survival. From bridges to doorways, old roads to barrows, graveyards to ruins, every locale is littered with places that have the air of the sacred, the other or the enchanted about them. Hannah teaches ways to connect to move into deeper harmony with the land, the seasons and the spirits within it. You will need: A stone you have gathered from near where you live, a candle, pen and paper, and a map of your local area.

Hannah Sanders has a doctorate in anthropology and is a longstanding practitioner of folk and herb magic. She was the last apprentice of writer and tarot reader Joyce Collin-Smith, and she is the granddaughter of a well-known Irish fortune teller. Professionally, she is a traditional folk singer.
