About The Event
In this class Hannah Sanders looks at the lore of the heavens, palaces of air, and unpacks how a focus on them can bestow hope and power in magic. Â The centrality of high places to the human experience of wonder is unparalleled. Culture has long attempted to bring people closer to the gods through venerating high places and creating structures of worship atop of them. The mythic, archetypal resonance of towers and stairways, along with the power imbued in nature's high places give gives a sense of elevation toward divine energy. many will remembr dreams of flying, or falling, and these too attest to powr of the aery realms in consciousness. Â You will need: A feather, a candle, pen and paper, and a map of your local area.
Hannah Sanders has a doctorate in anthropology and is a longstanding practitioner of folk and herb magic. She was the last apprentice of writer and tarot reader Joyce Collin-Smith, and she is the granddaughter of a well-known Irish fortune teller. Professionally, she is a traditional folk singer.
