About The Event
This workshop for solitary witches is dedicated to the fundamentals of practical magic. Rebecca Beattie gives a clear and engaged overview of the principles of magical theory -- in short, how spells are understood to work. She introduces ideas of sympathetic magic, 'flow',  'as above, so below', fate, and even why people use hair clippings in spells. She then looks at morals and ethics of magic: when to use it, when not to  -  and what on earth does a mature person think about curses? Discussion, questions and interaction follows the presentation which sets off the session. Â
Rebecca Beattie is a longstanding Wiccan priestess who brings almost two decades of experience in hands-on magic. She is   known for her highly-informed approach, which she combines with a warm, inclusive style. Her professional life is in the charitable sector and is also a published author with a doctorate in Creative Writing.Â
