About The Event
Early modern London was full of magic, both real and imagined, as witches and necromancers were found doing actual workings but at the same time, people accused  innocent neighbours and enemies. In this unusual and compelling evening, professional mind-reader and historical witchcraft expert Cara Hamilton tells tales of actual cases, relating the occult practices people did  -- and those they were feared to have done.  Get ready for wax effigies, scrying bowls and spirits in black mirrors. Cara also brings a range of historical artefacts from her personal cabinet of curiosities. Mentalism and magic are put to the service of the psychic reality of London's witch hunt era for a small audience in an intimate milieu (max 32 places). Wine reception beforehand, and during intermission. Over 16s only; all under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.Â
Cara Hamilton is a renowned mentalist, mindreader, performer and storyteller with an avid interest in the history of witchcraft, spiritualism and the occult. She tours international as well as in the UK, at museums, National Trust properties, stately homes, conventions and theatres. We are honoured to host her at Treadwell's for one night only in an intimate setting. Audience reviews worldwide attest to her remarkable ability.Â
