About The Event
Hundreds of witches have graced the silver screen since Hollywood began from elderly crones to sexy maidens. In this lecture, Heather Greene will discuss the main archetypes, their origins, and the patterns of their appearance. Was the crone always evil? What is the socio-cultural meaning behind the teen witch? When is the sexy vamp most popular? This lecture will take you through Hollywood history, to explore the dynamics underneath those amazing movie witch characters.
