Melissa Mercury
Melissa Mercury has been working with tarot for over twenty years and is one of Treadwell's most experienced and respected readers. Known for her thoughtful, perceptive approach, she combines practical tarot expertise with a deep knowledge of the cards' history, symbolism and cultural legacy.
Alongside her professional reading practice, Melissa has spent many years researching the history of tarot, the life and work of Pamela Colman Smith, and the role of tarot within popular culture. Her work reflects a long fascination with the stories, people and ideas that have shaped the cards we know today.
At Treadwell's, Melissa gives hugely informative and engaging talks on tarot history and its cultural legacy. She also hosts Melissa's Tarot Club, a monthly event where learners can develop their skills, exchange readings and explore new aspects of tarot together in a welcoming space.
Before becoming a full-time tarot reader, Melissa spent over a decade working in radio and television. She now combines her research and teaching with a busy professional reading practice. Reading at Treadwell's twice a week, she has earned a reputation for insightful, sensitive and consistently high-quality readings.
