About The Event
There is a long tradition of magic being learned from the Grimoires, or old books of magic. Traditional spells and charms to protect the home, find treasure and bring in love are the most commonly talked about, but then there are those other secrets they are said to contain - how to protect yourself from daimons, and how to raise spirits. How much truth is there in the tales? In this lecture, we will examine five grimoires that every witch should know to find out what they contain, and identify what the magical practitioner and witch would have been expected to do, and how they would have worked. Five Top 5 Grimoires - Picatrix, Greater Key, Agrippa, Black Pullet and Little Albert.
Rebecca Beattie has spent more than 20 years studying and practising witchcraft and Wicca, and has a deep understanding of the history and traditions underpinning them.
