About The Event
Join us for a poetry reading by Alice O'Malley-Woods, poet-in-residence here at Treadwell's in Spring 2024. Alice's work is at the forefront of emergent poetic practice, and we are proud to host her tonight, as she reads works that have come to life during her residency over the past three months. Themes around intimacy, entanglements with the more-than-human, climate grief, and the incursion of the esoteric. All attending are invited to stay on for chats and complimentary wine afterwards, as we gather on the shop floor for an informal soioree. This is a night for lovers of the written word!
Alice O'Malley-Woods is a poet based in Lewes, Sussex. She is part of the Techne consortium, whose members explore the cutting edges of sense, thinking, creativity and theory.  In addition to her creative work, she is doctoral student at the University of Brighton, working on a thesis developing an eco-feminist ecriture feminine. During her residency at Treadwell's she has written a weekly blog.
