In this riveting illustrated lecture, Paul Bell takes us back to the streets of 1880s London, when seances and the spirit cabinets were all the rage, and where patriarchal society could be disrupted and erotically disturned. He unpacks the story, and the issues raised, in one of London's most dramatic spiritualism cases.
