Elemental Magic Introduced

This workshop introduces the four elemental powers which are central to modern Pagan practice.  Rebecca Beattie surveys the qualities of earth, air, fire and water, against the background of their long history in European cosmology. She shows ways to work with them and honour them. For a range of magical needs, she illustrates which element is best used. The practical activities include a spell working for each of three elements: stability earth sachet, creativity fire candle, and ritual bath mix for water. 

What activity is involved? A practical spell working for three of the elements - a herb sachet to earth for stability, a candle spell for creativity, a ritual bath for water.

You may want to bring: salt, jasmin flowers, jasmine and sandalwood essential oils; a black pouch, patchouli, dandelions, moss, and a black or brown crystal; a red candle, some ginger oil, and rosemary essential oil.

Rebecca Beattie brings an informative approach to her inclusive style or teaching, aimed at those starting out. A Wiccan priestess who apprenticed in her tradition over 15 years, she brings much lived experience and practical knowledge. She has an MA in Literature (London) and a doctorate in Creative Writing (Middlesex) with a dissertation on the modernist mystic Mary Webb. She is a published author with several books to her name.
