About The Event
In many Northern hemisphere traditions, the end of October addresses death and endings. It is a time to think about the harvest, and what to bring through the coming months. In this herb magic workshop, Hannah Sanders shows ways to honour the Mighty Dead, using fruits to honour them and herbs to petition them. She shows how to make a household altar, how to decorate the home for comfort, meditation and magic. For the herbal spells, she does a live demonstration of charms to protect the home against poor health, unhappiness and scarcity.
Hannah will be using: Rosemary, parsley, pumpkin, rowan berries, ivy, apples, yew, catnip, valerian, thistle, willow, bay laurel, rosehips, salt, and cider vinegar! You are welcome to have ingredients of your own to hand to follow along.
Hannah Sanders is a traditional folk singer as well as being witch and magical herbalist. She was also the last apprentice of writer and tarot reader Joyce Collin-Smith, and is the granddaughter of a well-known Irish fortune teller.
