About The Event

London's witchcraft history is the theme of this tour, and Maria Beadell introduces the women persecuted as witches: the medieval healers, the Elizabethan social climbers, the pagan priestesses, and the wartime mediums. She takes the group to places they were associated with, including a pagan temple, and relates their stories  -- she is vibrantly skilled in bringing these characters to life.  You will be entranced, and will see London through new eyes.

Meet: outside Farringdon tube Station at 7.50, tour leaves 8.00 precisely. Duration: 1.5 hours, ending at St Pauls Cathedral.

Covid: tour will adhere to latest Government guidance on Covid safety.

Maria is an independent writer, performer and actor who is fascinated by women's history in the capital. Treadwell's is delighted to be working with her.
