Lunar Magic Experience - Sound Bath

Nicole Bettencourt Coelho leads a ritualised sound journey for a direct, deep encounter with the powers of one of the seven sacred planets, the 'wandering stars. This evening is dedicated to dedicated to the Moon, the container and vessel, the pulse of time; our ancient teacher and companion in the ways of change, transformation and dream. It opens with a hypnotic visualisation to enter a dream-like state, enhanced by incenses, then moves into a meditation in sound, in which each person bathes in the Lunar resonances of gongs, crystal bowls, and shakers.  On the altar, the group then ceremoniously create a lunar tincture, and some may be taken home to form part of an ongoing meditation beyond the event. 

Dress: dress comfortably; you will be lying down for 45 minutes. 

Bring: a notebook if you would like to write about your journey afterwards. 

Optional: water bottle, a pillow or blanket, or any personal comforts / talismans

Nicole Bettencourt Coelho is a musician, sound therapist and sound artist with an interest in semiotics, ritual forms and queer magic. Their work explores sound and visualisation to effect transformation in the context of trance.
