Underworld Deities: Meeting the Gods

Who lives beneath the earth? This workshop goes underground to introduce and explore the deities of the underworld, in particular, Hel, Persephone and Osiris. Rebecca Beattie tells their stories, relates their attributes, and considers how a relationship with them can change a person’s relationship with death, the sacred and the unknown. The Meeting the Gods Series offers guidance in working with specific deities: how to find them, how to work with them, and what to expect in encounters with them.

Rebecca Beattie brings an informative approach to her inclusive style or teaching, aimed at those starting out. A Wiccan priestess who apprenticed in her tradition over 15 years, she brings much lived experience and practical knowledge. She has an MA in Literature (London) and a doctorate in Creative Writing (Middlesex) with a dissertation on the modernist mystic Mary Webb. She is a published author with several books to her name.
