Witch Choir – In-Person Event

Join us in-person at Treadwell's for a night of meditative singing and enacting sacred and spell techniques for voice. 

In this event, Nicole Bettencourt Coelho facilitates space to explore voice improvisation and exercises as a group, looking into strategies of spells, meditation and sacred song. The session also explores how to intuitively build choral sound to aid contemplation, integration and release through toning. No previous music knowledge or training is required. Expect a ritualised, communal evening of voice expression in a safe and nurturing environment.

Callum James will be joining tonight's solstice session with paper and charcoal, to accompany the process with the creation of large-scale asemic text. Contributing visual traces to reveal the energetics and paths the voice takes, as it seeks, finds and renders ephemeral forms and structures through personal exploration and group work. A deep winter devotion to Saturn.
