About The Event

The Autumn Equinox is traditionally dedicated to the fruit harvests, falling leaves and lengthening nights.

In this workshop, Rebecca teaches participants how to make a loose magical incense especially for this season. Participants discover how to blend resins, oils and botanicals as Rebecca guides them, anchoring their learning with scent experiments and taste tests. She then works with the group to design a bespoke ritual for celebrating autumntide. By the end of the workshop, each person will have a hand-blended magical incense for the equinox, and the knowledge required to continue making incense independently.

This will be an online workshop, running from 7-8.30pm UK time. If you wish to participate live, please source and bring the following materials to class (all participants will be sent the recordings afterwards, so you can also do it in your own time if you'd prefer):

  • A heatproof censer/burner (if you don't have one, an old mug works very well!)
  • A roll of charcoal discs
  • Frankincense resin pearls (25g)
  • Some myrrh resin grains (25g)
  • Clove essential oil (10ml)
  • Sandalwood essential oil (10ml)
  • Juniper berries (25g)
  • A handful of soil from the garden or park

From your kitchen:

  • A pestle and mortar
  • Some bay leaves
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Cloves
  • Sage
  • Table salt (the budget variety is fine)
  • Something to light the charcoal with (candle, lighter or matches)
