Wheel of the year: Samhain

In the witches' wheel of the year,  the Samhain (Halloween) is an important holiday, dedicated to honouring the season of dark and cold, and to remembering the dead. Tonight explores the way witches see this time, and how they mark it.

Rebecca Beattie is a long-standing practitioner of Western magical methods; she is a Wiccan priestess and a friendly, engaged tutor. In her research life, she is a doctoral researcher working on the modernist writer Mary Webb.
