About The Event
Amulets, talismans and charms are magical items designed to protect and aid, used all over the globe since ancient times. In this in-person workshop, Lucya Starza explores their historical and modern use and teaches participants how to make their own. She explains the difference between amulets and talismans, and defines exactly what charms are. She then examines several items that fall under all three categories. During the workshop, everyone has the chance to make simple amulets themselves using paper, card and pens or pencils, and everyone takes home what they've made. (All supplies provided.)
Lucya Starza is a London-based eclectic witch whose decades of practise inform her teaching and writing. Alongside her famed and acclaimed Bad Witch's Blog, she has written books on candle magic, poppets and scrying. Most recently, she released her first novel – the gothic tale, Erosion.
