About The Event
Acclaimed American poet Sylvia Plath (1932-1963) created a body of work that profoundly affects readers to this day.
In this special night live at Treadwell's, Julia Gordon-Bramer joins Christina Oakley Harrington on the sofa for an interview-style conversation, with questions from the audience. Having spent over 15 years exploring Plath's private esoteric life, Julia talks about her engagement with crystal-gazing, astrology, Qabalah, tarot, automatic writing, spells, seances, dream-workings and rituals. To her mind, esoteric activities nourished the poet's extraordinarily brilliant creative output. If you, too, need intense experiences with the mysterious, this night's for you. A soirée, book-signing and good conversation follows on the shopfloor.
Please note that Julia's newly published book, The Occult Sylvia Plath: The Hidden Spiritual Life of the Visionary Poet, will be available for purchasing, either with your ticket or on the night.
