Paul Watson's drawings evoke ancient myths, future legends, darkness, politics, folklore and myth. They have a sense of weird mystery and the mysterious weird, rendered from piece of burnt and blackened wood. The foreword is by David Southwell, the creator of the mythical English County of Hookland.

It also includes an essay by Watson: 'Deep England,' which gives an insight into the artist's vision of a haunted dreamscape; a weaving together of our current aspirations, dreams, hopes and anxieties.  A must for all lovers of English Gothic and folk horror.
