It outlines he occult virtues a of fifty animals, complete with their aracana and wisdoms.  Special attention is given to animals forms in alchemy, in which animals symbolise stages of the Great Work. We also meet the animals’ presence in shamanism and witchcraft, both rich in the lore of animals as spirit-helpers.

Animals have long been important in Robert Fitzgerald’s private life, where he has worked in the ecological field of wildlife rehabilitation, especially raptors.
